Timothy J. Cumings, Associate
Mr. Cumings received his B.A. degree from Calvin College before graduating from Michigan State University - Detroit College of Law. Mr. Cumings is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.
Mr. Cumings has experience in the areas of workers' compensation, corporate real estate, estate planning, creditor's rights, bankruptcy and general civil litigation, both at the district court and circuit court levels. In addition to lectures and seminars, Mr. Cumings has also written on issues involving workers' compensation.
Steven D. Schultz, Associate
Mr. Schultz received his B.A. degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University before graduating from Michigan State University - Detroit College of Law. Mr. Schultz served as Vice-President of the Student Bar Association and was a member of the Medical-Legal Society. He is a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.
Mr. Schultz has experience in the areas of workers' compensation, multi-state subrogation issues, personal injury, corporate law, bankruptcy, domestic relations, constitutional law, and general civil litigation, both at the district court and circuit court levels.
Renee E. Stamper, Associate
Ms. Stamper received her B.B.A. degree with high honors from Davenport University before graduating from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Ms. Stamper is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
Ms. Stamper has experience in the areas of workers' compensation, criminal prosecution, domestic relations, municipal law, constitutional law, and general civil litigation, both at the district court and circuit court levels. Ms. Stamper has extensive experience from her tenure as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Ms. Stamper has appellate experience with the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Elizabeth A. Yard, Associate
Ms. Yard received her B.A. degree from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. She then received her J.D. from Hamline University School of Law where she was a member of the Mock Trial Team. While in law school, Ms. Yard clerked for the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Ms. Yard is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the State Bar of Minnesota. She is also licensed to practice in United States District Court in the District of Minnesota, Central District of Illinois, and Western District of Michigan.
Ms. Yard's expertise is in the area of insurance subrogation, representing insurance carriers and self-insureds. She also has experience in the areas of workers' compensation, Federal Employers' Liability Act, Medical Malpractice, Asbestos Litigation, and general civil litigation. Ms. Yard has participated in the litigation of cases in numerous jurisdictions throughout the country.
John W. Lipford, Associate
Mr. Lipford received his B.A. degree with honors in Journalism and Psychology from Miami University (OH). He went on to receive his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law, where he was Vice-President of the College's Phi Delta Phi chapter and a member of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Currently, Mr. Lipford is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Lipford has experience in the areas of Workers' Compensation and State Licensure for defendants and Constitutional Violations under 42 U.S.C. 1983, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Protected Class Discrimination under Title VII and ELCRA, Wrongful Discharge and Retaliation, the Michigan Whistleblower's Protection Act, the Michigan Consumer Protection Act, the Michigan Persons With Disabilities Act, Business Torts, Defamation, Fraud and Misrepresentation, Medical Malpractice, Third and First Party No-Fault Litigation, Premises Liability, Dog Bite Litigation, and other general civil litigation.
